Why Are You Creating?

Simple question, right? But have you ever really thought about it?

Why are you creating?

Burning need? Posterity? To make your mark on the world? To leave something for your children?

For the most part, we got into the business of comics due to the work of the greats that worked at what would become Marvel and DC. We know the names of the original creators, but do we know the names of those who worked on seminal stories? Generally, that answer is no.

However, we know the names of creators at Image, because they are generally working on their own stuff.

There is no good or bad answer to this question. Just understand why you’re doing what you’re doing.

So, why are you creating?
