A Simple Email Tip

Daily Dose-grey

When you’re emailing someone you don’t know, be sure you state what it is you want from them.

It sounds silly and basic, I know, but there are times when I get emails from creators whom I don’t know, and I have to guess at what it is they want from me. It can be frustrating because I want to help them, but without understanding what it is they want, I’m unable to.

Be polite. That is always a must. However, make sure that what it is that you want is clearly stated. The less room you leave for error, the higher the chance you’ll be understood in what you want.
