A New Forum!

| June 12, 2012

Hello, everyone!

As you may have noticed by now, we have a new forum here at ComixTribe. After doing a lot of searching for free models, we have finally settled on a vBulletin license, so that we can better serve you, our tribe.

What does this mean for you?

We would like the forum to be a destination for those looking to create comics. To that end, we have built several subforums for just that: The Practice Grounds, broken down into Words and Art, where scripts and artwork can be posted for critique, as well as discussions of craft can take place; The Business, were we can talk about things that fall outside of craft, such as pricing, publication strategy, how to find creative partners, and more; as well as The Breeze, where you can come in and just talk about anything that strikes your fancy.

That doesn’t discount Articles, where you can comment on the articles that we post here each and every week, nor does it discount the comics we publish, or the news items we run. All of this can be found in the forums.

This isn’t our place. This is your place. We’re just holding it in trust for you.

Being that we’re holding it in trust, with trust being the operative word, screen names are still not allowed. Real or professional names only, please and thank you.

We also ask for your patience. In order to better serve you, we’re combating spambots by personally hand-approving each registration. There are two of us doing it, and as such, there should only be a wait of a few hours at most.

Speaking of two of us, our own Yannick Morin is going to be our Community Relations Manager. We’re wanting to build ComixTribe into the community it deserves to be, and Yannick is going to help us get there.

And that’s it. Welcome to the forums. Go, get registered, and interact with one another.
